All photography collections and print orders are subject to Michigan 6% sales tax.
How to Reserve a Wedding Date or Portrait Session
In order to reserve your wedding or portrait session date, you should first contact Carulli Studios to see if the date is available. This can be done by calling Joe at 248.504.0577 or using the "Contact Us" web page.
If the date is available you will need to complete a wedding or portrait session contract and pay the non-refundable retainer fee before the photography date will be considered reserved.
Weddings - What to Expect
Carulli Studios uses a combination of traditional and modern photojournalist/reportage styles to capture the spirit and mood of your special day. The photographer will arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the photography start times in order to set up, discuss any last minute changes, etc.
Many family members will desire Carulli Studios to capture family portraits, etc. before or during the reception. All of these requests will be handled as time permits. Please let us know if you would like such photos. But, most of all make sure your family members arrive early so that everyone will be ready for the photo.
If you don't want to pay for the photographer to remain until the end of the reception, we can do fake cake cutting shots and other such photos before the reception begins.
Wedding Photography Payment
A non-refundable retainer of $500.00 will be required to save your wedding date on all of our Wedding Collections. If you are paying by the hour, a 50% non-refundable retainer will be required to save your wedding date.
The balance of your wedding photography collection is due 1 month (30 days) prior to your wedding date.
Payments can be made by check or credit card by using Google Checkout.
Engagement Photography Payment
If you're adding an Engagement Package to your Wedding Package, then no additional retainer fee is required.
For the Stand Alone Engagement Package, a non-refundable retainer of $100.00 is due to secure the session date.
The balance of your photography collection is due the day of the shoot.

Portrait Photography Payment
A non-refundable retainer of $100.00 is due to secure the session date.
The balance of your photography collection is due the day of the shoot.

High School Senior Photography Payment
A non-refundable retainer of $100.00 is due to secure the session date.
The balance of your photography collection is due the day of the shoot.
Payments can be made by check or credit card by using Google Checkout.
Photography Cancellation Policy
The non-refundable retainer reserves your photography session date and if you need to reschedule, please give us 24 hours notice for portrait sessions and 30 days notice for weddings.
"No shows" or "Day Of" cancellations will not be rescheduled.
Wedding Package Digital Negatives
The photographic negatives will come in "High Res" jpeg format in the sRBG color gamut.
It is highly recommended that you choose your lab carefully. Many cheap kiosk type printers will do a fine job for small 4"x6" prints but larger prints will be compromised. Also, cheaper labs may have inconsistent color processing which will result in less than spectacular images.
In addition to the "High Res" digital negative CD/DVD, you will receive a limited copyright release granting you the following image usage rights:
- Copying them to other CD/DVDs for backup purposes
- Printing them for yourself and others
- Using photo labs to print the images
- Emailing them to family and friends
- Any personal and non-commercial use
When to Expect Your Photos
Carulli Studios strives to process your photos in a timely manner.
Engagement/High School/Portrait proof images should be available within 15 business days of your photography session date. Depending upon the season, Wedding proofs may take up to 30 business days or more to be available. Prints will be delivered directly to your home from our professional print fulfillment lab and should arrive within 5-10 business days of placing an order. Please allow more time for albums and other items to arrive.
It you have any special needs for a "rush-job", please bring that to our attention and we will do our best to help you.
Proof Images
Carulli Studios uses an online print fulfillment service for all proof images and print order processing. The online proof image gallery will be available for approximately 60 days after being posted online. The image expiration date for your proofs will be displayed on your proof site once it's active. Your online proofs can be extended for an additional 60 days for a fee of $25.00 at any time while your proofs are active, simply give us a call or select "Contact Us" above and we'll send you an invoice.
You'll receive one email from Carulli Studios when your proof images are available for viewing. This email contains the necessary information for logging on to your password protected proof site.
You'll receive another email about 7 days before your proof images are expiring. This will allow you to place any last minute print orders or pay the $25.00 fee to extend your proofing period. After your proof expiration date has passed, the proofs will be considered Expired and will then be deleted/purged from the online proofing web site.
There is a $100.00 fee to restore any expired/purged online proofing gallery. The restored proof gallery will be active for 60 days and will follow the same policies as above.
Print Credit
If your photography collection includes a print credit, Carulli Studios will issue you a coupon code to be used online. These coupon codes will remain valid during your initial photography proof period ONLY and will not be reissued.
Photo Retention
Carulli Studios will attempt to retain your photos for as long as possible. Carulli Studios does archive and back-up every image. But, due to the nature of digital data Carulli Studios does not guarantee or warranty that your photos will be available beyond their Initial 60 day proof periods.
There is a $100.00 fee to restore any expired/purged online proofing gallery. The restored proof gallery will be active for 60 days and will follow the same policies as above.
Travel Fee
A $100 fee will be charged if the event location is greater than 50 miles from Novi in Southeastern Michigan.
